Job Summary This role will be an agency managed contingent site based role on Curtis Island for a 6 month period.
Job Description
As a core member of the ConocoPhillips (COP) Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Downstream (DS) Operations team, this position will contribute positively to the development of an organization which embraces a commitment to best practices and operational excellence. Achieving zero injuries, incidents, and maintaining standards for achieving excellent operational performance.
The DS Senior Permit Authority will be responsible for the administration and execution of the work permit process in accordance with the Permit to Work and Work Management processes and consistent with the DS APLNG Permit to Work policies and procedures.
The DS Senior Permit Authority will administer and maintain the integrity of the Permit to Work system and activities occurring with the LNG facility, whilst providing direction and guidance to those executing the work activities via collaborative and effective communication and leadership.
The Senior Permit Authority will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Daily issuing of work permits. Escalate permitting issues to the respective shift Operations Superintendents.
Facilitate the Daily PTW meeting.
Participate in the reviewing of work group risk assessments.
Participate in the reviewing of isolation templates.
Participate in scheduled regular Permit to Work compliance auditing.
Maintaining accurate Permit to Work documentation, records and KPIs.
Providing input into daily Permit to Work and work management meetings.
Providing Permit to Work guidance into the development of the Integrated Activity Schedule.
Providing input and support to identified Permit to Work training initiatives.
Engaged with the Continuous improvement activities and processes associated with the Permitting system.
Deliver dedicated PTW training.
Human Performance:
Coach, mentor, and support Permit to Work users in the application of the ISSoW system and its associated processes.
Promote and support robust teamwork.
Ensure SPIRIT values and culture are promoted and supported.
Production Surveillance and Optimization:
Identify and support Permit to Work improvement initiatives.
Perform regular audits of the Permit to Work process.
Identify and manage SIMOP activities, ensuring controls are in place and effective prior to permit issue.
Provide Permit to Work related input and support to APLNG DS work management processes.
Facilitate daily Permit to Work review meetings.
Maintain accurate and consistent PTW documentation and records.
Maintain the Operations lesson learned register.
You will be an experienced Senior Permit Authority, bringing to the role:
Successful completion of Year 10 or above in the Australian education system or equivalent education system.
A minimum of 5 years in an operations role in the oil and gas production / processing industry or significant and relevant experience in a related heavy / complex processing industry.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Permit to Work issuing role.
A detailed understanding of Permit to Work systems and their associated application including:
Isolation Design and Implementation.
Venting, Purging and Inerting practices.
Confined Space Entry (CSE) procedures and associated controls.
Risk Assessment design and hazard control implementation.
Electrical Switching Procedures.
Excavation Procedures.
Hot Work practices and associated controls.
Cold Work practices and associated controls.
Inhibits and Override Management.
Able to read and understand P&ID’s and Process Flow Diagram’s.
Experience of working in a team environment.
Experienced with the use of SAP.
Good knowledge of HSE Management System policies and procedures.
Good understanding of operations and maintenance business processes.
