Western Health has an excellent opportunity for a registered pharmacist to take up a maternity leave backfill position as Senior Pharmacist - Education. This is a temporary full-time position until 25 April 2025.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to provide leadership in the design and delivery of clinical education to a rapidly growing pharmacy service. You will work within a service transitioning to a team-based model and play a key role in adapting the education program as the service evolves.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Pharmacy, Quality and Informatics, you will be supported in co-ordinating education that contributes to the provision of a high-quality pharmacy service.
You will be joining at a very exciting time for the health service, with the recent opening of a newly refurbished Sunshine Hospital Pharmacy Department featuring pharmacy automation, and with the new Footscray Hospital scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025.
To be Successful in this Role, you must demonstrate:
- Experience in the training and education of pharmacy staff
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in undertaking quality improvement activities and/or research projects
- Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to provide effective support and guidance for more junior team members
