As a Senior Physiotherapist (Supervisory) you will be responsible for providing leadership and clinical supervision to school-based physiotherapists in the delivery of safe, effective high-quality services to support children and students to access and fully participate in their learning. This role is under the supervision of Senior Advisor Physiotherapy in each region.
This recruitment process will be used to fill any subsequent permanent or temporary vacancies in the next 12 months.
About You:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing clinical supervision, capability development or mentoring of other health professionals or undergraduate students, or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with supervisees, senior therapy staff, regional teams and school teams through effective communication skills.
About the Role:
These permanent and temporary positions are attached to regional offices within each region. Locations may be negotiable for the successful candidates, however travel within the region will be required as part of the role. Multiple Part-time positions are available in Metropolitan North Region and one part time position is available in North Coast Region. FTE may be negotiable for the successful candidates.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and respond to professional, organisational and personal learning needs of school based physiotherapy through leadership and clinical supervision aligned with the HP4 Senior Physiotherapist (Supervisory) role description and Clinical Governance Framework
- Direct and support school based physiotherapists, school management teams and regional services in assessing physiotherapy needs, responses and interventions to support student outcomes
- Collaborate with physiotherapy and regional leadership teams to identify and respond to common issues impacting physiotherapy services in education in line with regional priorities through innovative and data driven solutions
- Monitor and report on workload management, wellbeing and performance across physiotherapy services within your region.
