We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Planner to join our heavy mobile maintenance team at West Angelas.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance Planning and Engineering, this vital leadership role will be responsible for a team of Planners and Schedulers, in addition but not limited to; -
- Supporting and developing a multi-disciplined team in the delivery of Shut Management and Work Management processes.
- Providing expert technical advice to operations and maintenance teams
- Proficient in utilising SAP
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to allow for productive interfaces with the site maintenance teams.
- Participate in Work Management and Shut Management health check reviews and other assurance activities.
- Apply disciplined governance and quality assurance across Shut Management and Work Management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets whilst bringing the team on a journey of continuous improvement
- Accountable for the preparation of the annual area maintenance Zero Based Budgets (ZBB) and continuously reviewing conformance to budget.
- Support the development of integrated schedules, associated deliverables, monitors status against schedule and updates as appropriate.

- Proven experience with zero based budgeting, Capital componentisation and data analytics
- Have leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing, and coaching planning and scheduling teams.
- Proven relevant experience within the mining industry in either heavy mobile equipment or fixed plant environments.
- Capable of working in challenging environments whilst maintaining effective time management and organisational skills
- Well-developed analytical and technical competencies that support planning and scheduling processes, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to manage a team independently with a capacity to build collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Work Management and Shut Management processes.
- Hold a current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.

Where you’ll be working
Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.
West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.
Our high grade, low phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.
The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
This opportunity is available to Fly in Fly out candidates from Perth, Busselton or Broome.
