Solution Specialist to help our team to design and deliver solutions to a wide variety of complex software and technology problems faced by Technical Services teams.The Technical Services group uses a variety of technical software in the planning space including Vulcan, Alastri Tactical Scheduler, ArcGIS, and Snowflake in addition to in-house developed Anvil, Blocksmith and Foundry applications.As a
Planning Systems specialist you will apply your expertise in mining data (block models, engineering designs, survey surfaces etc.) to define or optimise the data management practices and data processing workflows of our users.As an expert in our in-house products, you will help to guide their development while also spending some time training and supporting our users. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your Python programming skills to contribute new features to our products.
Key Responsibilities- Become an expert in our in-house developed products & data management processes
- Identify, define and develop features and improvements to our products
- Provide training and technical support for users of our products
- Act as a SME for mining data related problems
- Work directly with team members to understand problems and gather requirements
- Design and implement efficient and maintainable solutions that best leverage any combination of software products
Qualifications and Experience- Experience implementing software solutions to mining data problems, esp. with spatial data processing/algorithms, would be highly regarded
- Experience with scripting to process data, esp. using Python, would be highly regarded
- Experience with agile software development, esp. as a product manager or product owner would be highly regarded
- Experience with the mine planning & scheduling processes
- Experience working with spatial data or block models
- Experience supporting technical software
