The Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Policy and Governance Officer to join the Graduate Research Office team at Monash University on a continuing full time basis. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Senior Manager Development & Planning and will provide a range of specialised administrative services to support the Policy and Governance function.
This will include:

• Coordinating the operation of Policy and Governance activities
• Liaising with senior management, stakeholders and colleagues to strategically address a range of complex issues
• Producing and editing papers, briefings, presentations and other correspondence and co-ordinating seminars, meeting and working groups
• Providing specialist advice and executive-level support to the committee members and following-up the implementation of ideas

Suited to a highly motivated individual who can work under general direction, the successful applicant will have a customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Furthermore, the successful candidate will ideally have a degree level qualification and/or extensive experience and expertise in governance or administrative fields. They should also be experienced in providing high-level administrative support and advisory services together with high level knowledge of university governance processes and procedures.
