Company description:NSW Reconstruction AuthorityJob description: Temporary role up to 6 January 2025 with possibility of extension Based in Northern Rivers, with flexible working arrangements and other working locations by negotiation Clerk Grade 9/10 ($120,859 - $133,183) plus super and annual leave loading About the NSW Reconstruction AuthorityThe NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within the Planning & Environment cluster. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and make sure that communities across the state recover from them faster. The Authority will complete critical planning and preparation to reduce the severity and impacts of disasters and will start recovery swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts when disasters occur. About the Northern Rivers Adaptation Division The Northern Rivers Adaptation Division (the Division) was established following the 2022 floods before becoming part of the Authority on 1 July 2023. The Division retains its Northern Rivers identity and continues to focus on rebuilding communities across the region. Having the critical work and collective efforts under a single agency provides opportunities to learn from experience, better help communities prepare for future disasters and recover and more effectively rebuild. About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to coordinate development and implementation of a range of policy initiatives that contribute to the delivery of disaster risk management, flood risk mitigation and climate change adaptation initiatives that support the long-term resilience of communities in the Northern Rivers. In this role you will: Research and analyse complex policy issues to help solve problems and develop solutions pertaining to resilience and adaptation program delivery. Plan and deliver disaster resilience and adaptation projects and initiatives that involve coordination with other team members, State agencies and external organisations. Provide expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders. For more details about this role please click here to view the role description About you The successful candidate will have: Experience in policy analysis and developing strategic advice, policies and plans to contribute to resilience, disaster risk management and /or climate change adaptation outcomes Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex government environment Strong communications skills who can interact with internal and external stakeholders Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and tasks.
