Senior Policy Officer
Location: Parramatta
Employment type: Temporary full-time role up to 12 months
Salary: $120,859 pa - $133,183 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
This role will lead and contribute to some important policy projects for the Organisation, on topics including implementation of the child safe scheme in DCJ and across the sector, implementation of recommendations of the Disability Royal Commission and Family is Culture Review and development of legislative and policy reform options for the child protection system. They will also assist with Branch and Directorate strategic planning and collaborate with other team members on various other policy projects.
What you'll do
As a Senior Policy Officer you will undertake Policy and legislative analysis, development of reform options, preparation of briefing notes, discussion papers, Cabinet Submissions etc for the Minister's Office and senior executives, planning and implementing policy projects, and collaborate with the broader team on priority projects.
You'll work as part of a High-performing team, based in Parramatta but working currently in a hybrid model. Working environment that values and fosters trust, collaboration and respect.

In addition to the essential requirements listed in the role description, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated public sector policy experience and knowledge of policy and parliamentary processes and is comfortable working within tight deadlines.
