Your part in the ongoing success of our department, in supporting key frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to:
- Assist in the planning, development, implementation and overview of strategies, policies and Legislation in accordance with agency requirements.
- Contribute to identifying potential risks and issues and support the development of innovative strategies and solutions that meet quality business outcomes.
- Provide advice to senior management in relation to issues effecting the department and provide options to ensure QFES meet its legislative obligation and requirements.
- Assist in the development, implementation, overview and evaluation of strategic projects that contribute to the business outcomes of the department.
- Undertake research and analysis of government Policy and Legislation, identify issues and/or providing recommendation for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to assist with meeting organisational objectives and legislative requirements.
- Represent the department on committees and working groups in the development of programs, projects and policies to ensure the department’s policy views are represented accurately.
- Prepare and review reports, briefing notes, submissions, business cases and correspondence relating to Policy and legislative issues and initiatives in accordance with department requirements.
