This is our promise to the Victorian community and the reason we exist. $128,755.00 per annum + Superannuation Full Time Ongoing Position Geelong Location (Hybrid working model) About the role The Premium and Self-Insurance Division is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the oversight of the premium and self-insurance functions at WorkSafe Victoria. The Division oversees all the premium functions for WorkSafe, including premium setting, collection, debt considerations, compliance, policy, services and review. It is a mandatory Scheme for those employing in Victoria, with employers in Victoria paying billions of dollars in premium annually. The Senior Premium Performance Analyst role will be responsible for performance analysis and interpretation of insights with a focus on opportunities to enhance premium compliance programs. The role will work directly with Premium Compliance subject matter experts to understand drivers and opportunities to improve targeted programs. The role will also support other premium functions, providing insights and recommendations to improve business processes and performance for premium collection challenges and enhance agent and employer communication on premium drivers. Key Accountabilities Lead analytics projects and initiatives, including responsibility for key component delivery. Translation of premium compliance insights and performance trends into advice and recommendations, identifying emerging risks. Prepare and present program insights, KPI reports and other supporting communications materials for internal/external stakeholders, outlining key narratives and distilling key messages from insights, performance trends and technical sources. Support analytics projects and initiatives focussed on other premium functions including premium collection, premium policy framework and premium education/communication. Collaborate with WorkSafe's Actuarial Services Division in developing analytical models and subsequent insights that align with premium setting methodologies, including meeting agreed standards, ensuring appropriate documentation and undertaking peer reviews. Skills and experience Demonstrated ability to undertake effective in depth and complex research and analytics, including advanced technical, quantitative and/or financial modelling skills, and performance / target monitoring and tracking. Innovative in developing solutions to business challenges, with strong interpersonal skills to enable collaboration and influence of internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to present complex insights or technical information, visually and in an audience appropriate manner that facilitates engagement and enables decision making. Ability to lead stakeholder engagement activities to collect, identify and articulate stakeholder requirements. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to negotiate and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously with limited guidance when required. Knowledge of and experience using data visualisation and reporting tools (eg. Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense) an advantage. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in an Analyst related discipline (eg. Statistics, Business, Computer Science) and/or relevant industry experience.
