About Us
The Pricing & Customer Value team business partners within the Buying division of Supermarkets, Woolworths Food Company, Finance, IT & Strategy teams. As a team, we support the optimisation of pricing opportunities for the Woolworths Supermarkets division with a strong focus on building continued price trust with our customers and maintaining Woolworths’ competitiveness in the market.

About the Role
Due to another successful career move, our Pricing & Customer Value Team is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to become a trusted advisor to the Buying team, by injecting analytical rigour and innovative thinking into business solutions, who proactively finds and lands opportunities to add value.
Our team of analysts are strongly connected to the development and delivery of the strategic & commercial direction of the business.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Navigating the wider Woolworths data environment and overseeing complex analyses to support the broader Pricing and Better Buying mandates within the business
- Frame problems, gather and analyse complex data, discover insights, develop recommendations
- Scoping, developing, and maintaining various solutions for the business, including models, reports, and dashboards
- Be a thought partner to the Pricing and Customer Value leadership team in support of direction and priority setting.
- Optimising and running the market price collection and reporting function (including service providers, systems, processes, and business insights) to support strategic direction setting and day-to-day decision-making in pricing-related matters
- Contribute to knowledge environment within Pricing and Customer Value and the broader commercial team; training colleagues and clients in new solutions
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement

About you
You are a strategic and commercial thinker and a strong business partner with strong communication presentation & influencing skills.
You will also have:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a finance or commercially facing role within fast-paced retail or FMCG environment
- Proven experience analyse large sets of data
- Sound commercial acumen & the ability to build strong relationships and trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop complex data analyses & quickly synthesise information to develop actionable insights and recommendations
- Strong focus on delivery and the right attitude and approach towards challenges
- Experience working with Agile or other project management disciplines is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets, and/or MS Powerpoint / Google Slides
- Knowledge and experience with SQL
