Menzies is looking for a Senior Principal Research Fellow to work within a collaboration network of researchers across Australia’s leading universities and with an excellent track record of research and publication in respiratory health, will have the expertise in laboratory science, data linkage, advanced statistical analyses and research knowledge to contribute to a team responsible for advanced analytical methodologies and innovative research design.
The role of the Senior Principal Research Fellow is to build and lead research teams and to develop opportunities for collaboration through engagement with key partners in the Northern Territory and across Australia. The Senior Principal Research Fellow will play a leading role in leading research and the provision of evidence-based feedback to practitioners in order to improve health care.
What you will bring to the role
As an enthusiastic, qualified health professional, you will have relevant postdoctoral qualifications in the area of clinical, public health, laboratory sciences, relevant research experience and statistics with high level skills in clinical trials and interpretation of quantitative data and development of databases used for multi-centre studies.
The successful applicant will also have exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with community stakeholders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations, and the ability to work collaboratively with health professionals and academic colleagues. This position requires the ability to work sensitively in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings with the skills to engage and communicate with First Nations peoples.
