About the Role:

To be eligible to apply you must have experience as an educational leader, with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland. To be successful, you will demonstrate your outstanding ability to lead targeted, tailored, high impact capability development for principals, middle leaders, teachers and a range of professional and support staff in Queensland state schools.

As the DoE enters an exciting phase implementing the new education strategy, Equity and Excellence: realising the potential of every student, we are investing in the capability of educational leaders and teachers through a new Education Futures Institute, tasked with empowering educators and leaders to build professional expertise across their careers through high-quality, targeted development opportunities.

The Senior Principal Capability, Education Futures Institute roles will deliver coaching; educational flagship programs; and strategies to support the health, safety and wellbeing of teachers, educational leaders, and staff. As a Senior Principal Capability, Education Futures Institute you will:

  • Lead innovative approaches to the design, delivery and evaluation of professional development programs and learning opportunities for teachers, school leaders and the officers who support teaching and learning;
  • Lead and enhance the use of evidence, research, partnerships and digital innovation in ensuring teaching and learning professional development is supportive, job-embedded, collaborative and accessible across the state;
  • Ensure teaching and leadership capability development is responsive to the context of each participant, school and community; and
  • Deliver outstanding coaching and support for school leaders that is informed by evidence and strongly aligned to individual needs and system priorities.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Required to hold or be eligible to hold full registration as a teacher in Queensland. Information on registration requirements is available ***********@qct.edu.au or on toll free 1300 720 944
  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services
