Hazer Group (Hazer) is an ASX listed company, developing innovative (Australian developed) clean technology to produce hydrogen and graphite with low carbon emissions for the emerging global clean hydrogen market.
Hazer is embarking on an exciting period of growth as we advance our technology through the recently commissioned Commercial Demonstration Plant (CDP) at Woodman Point, WA. We are now commencing operations test work, together with other technology development projects including the Hazer Hydrogen Project, a 2500tpa Commercial Plant to be situated in Canada.
This role will be responsible for:
- Production, review, and approval of Process Engineering deliverables – internal as well as contractor/vendor documents
- Management of Process Engineering related work scopes with Engineering contractor
- Assisting with modifications of existing plant
- Assisting with management of contractors at site
- Supporting construction and commissioning efforts at site
- Supporting maintenance and procurement efforts
- Supporting procedural and documentation development
- Supporting operational performance monitoring
- Supporting ongoing business and process improvement activities
- Assist in technical development work scopes
- Define conceptual solutions, develop scopes of work and review vendor proposals
- Design and lead experimental programs
- Perform analysis of experimental and operational campaign data
- Apply knowledge to identify, assess and mitigate strategic process risks
- Provide input to design reviews and process hazard analysis (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, QRA, bowties, etc)
The role is based in the Perth CBD office with occasional travel to local site in Munster.
The right person will be able to demonstrate / have experience with:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Eligibility to membership with Institution of Engineers Australia
- 7-15 years industry experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or complex mineral processing
- Experience in operations, commissioning/start-up and pilot plant operation is highly advantageous
- Strong analytical abilities, proactive thinking and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to ensuring output of quality work
- Proven ability to work as a team player with multidiscipline teams, sharing knowledge and ensuring alignment with strategic business goals
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of process safety fundamentals
- Chartered engineering credential desirable
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and challenging environment
