Senior Procurement Officer

Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.  Oversee and deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering; procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management and administration activities. Exercise a Procurement Delegation for sourcing activities certifying that the procurement process undertaken has been in accordance with QPS policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy. Draft and negotiate Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) Contracts for ICT goods and services in conjunction with stakeholders and suppliers. Administer strategic contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework. Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.  Contribute to the success of the ICT Category Management function through the adoption of sound category and sub-category management practices.
