Our client is a complex Not-For-Profit business with an expanding presence across Queensland. Due to a period of change and expansion, they have a role available for an experienced Procurement Officer.
The Role
This role plays a pivotal role in procurement and fleet operations, assisting in the delivery of best value procurement solutions and practices for all relevant goods and services obtained by the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop and promote procurement strategies, focusing on continuous improvement and transformation.
- Conduct business needs assessments, supply market analysis, and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
- Drive awareness and education across the organization on procurement expertise, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare procurement and contracting documentation, including tenders, evaluations and award recommendations.
- Ensure successful implementation of new contracts, suppliers, and processes.
- Analyse financial expenditure information and produce reports to facilitate the development of procurement strategies.
- Liaise with operational teams and management to provide advice on product and process risk mitigation.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, senior leaders, and vendors to improve business and commercial outcomes.
- Assist in identifying and anticipating future business needs and responding to changing environmental conditions.
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement and category management processes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives, or company policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
- Current Driver’s License and willingness to drive for work purposes.
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and company policy.
