The Operation:
Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long mine life. We are a large, dynamic mine committed to delivering safety and performance. The Location:
Ravensworth Open Cut is ideally located in the NSW Hunter Valley near Singleton, 70 km north-west of Maitland, and 90 km north-west of Newcastle.
The Role:
An opportunity exists at our operation for a SeniorProcurement Specialist. This is a permanent role reporting to the Commercial Manager where you will be part of the team managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, including but not limited to, the identification of cost savings opportunities, development of sourcing strategies, negotiation and execution of contracts and the management of ongoing supplier relationships and contract value delivery across our business..
The Successful Applicant:
You will have experience in procurement and contract negotiations, preferably within the mining and resources sector. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business, commerce, legal or engineering disciplines are highly desirable, as is further additional CIPS recognition.
Beyond your technical capability, the key to this role will be your skill to liaise, communicate and effectively manage across internal and external stakeholders including multiple levels of site management and operational personnel. You will be capable of working both on your own and as part of a team to deliver consistent high-quality results and have a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel as well as SAP.
