At HSBC Australia we have an exciting opportunity in this newly created role for a Senior Product Manager of Credit Cards and Rewards, who will report into the Senior Portfolio Manager of Customer Value Management. The role will provide support to our credit card portfolio in delivering various business objectives – the key aspects of such include:

Deepening the engagement and retention across the credit card customer lifecycle including:

• Analysing cardholder behaviour with a focus on spend and balance build to identify the unique needs of different segments.
• Driving customer engagement initiatives to increase product penetration across wealth & personal banking. 
• Developing and implementing proactive retention strategies.

Managing the credit card loyalty program with a focus on rewards management:

• Develop strategies for optimising the rewards & loyalty program for customers and HSBC.
• Focus on rewards provisions optimisation.
• Management of loyalty partners including invoicing, process mapping, contracts & ongoing due diligence

Managing and developing strategic partners for credit cards portfolio, including major airlines loyalty partners:

• Perform commercial analysis of opportunities, design propositions and operating models.
• Develop roadmap for strategic partnership management.
• Perform day to day account management for key partners.
• Day to day management of partners including third party due diligence and contracting.

Responsibilities:

• Product promotion, fulfillment and process management.
• Identify, gain support for and implement business improvement opportunities across product processes and services. 
• Management of customer lifecycle programs & campaigns.
• Active participation in business planning and objective setting.
• Relationship management – WPB product team, marketing, digital, Banking Operations, Data team, IT, Risk Stewards and so on.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in a Product Management role in financial services.
• Retail banking experience and credit card management experience is highly desirable.
• Partnership or relationship management experience.
• Proven negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, political, competitors etc.).
• Thorough understanding of credit card product & pertinent regulations impacting retail banking.
• Understanding and experience with rewards & loyalty is highly desirable.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
