Job Description:46905 - Senior Product Manager: eCommerce12 Month Max-Term Contract/SecondmentLocation: SydneyHybrid workingHow will I help?You will join the Cash and Transactional Banking Line of Business that is accountable for product management of Merchant Payments. Focussing on the customer and driving product propositions, compliance, and risk function. You will contribute to our strategic roadmap ensuring our product offering is driving engagement and helping our customers grow. Our team is responsible for all merchant acquiring, for example eCommerce, in-store, and mobile products for our business customers of all sizes. You will challenge the status quo through analysis to drive outstanding outcomes for our customers and driving quality.You will work with our digital, IT and project teams to deliver key capability to make it easier for our customers bank with us across the Westpac brands ensuring the alignment to the broader line of business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive key aspects of the Acquiring Product portfolio, specifically in relation to eCommerce solutions.
  • Drive ideation and feature prioritisation with external partners and the transformation and service delivery teams to develop, enhance and manage our target eCommerce product suite.
  • Builds partnerships with multiple stakeholders to deliver on key growth and quality targets, including but not limited to feature / capability prioritisation and execution, as well as commercial discussions.
  • Accountable for product risk and governance, product design, collateral, terms and conditions of product use, processes, and product controls.
  • Be a subject matter expert and use in-depth knowledge of products, markets, and competitors to achieve agreed portfolio outcomes and build eCommerce presence within the Westpac Group.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues to define and agree the “why” and the “what” of how we successfully deliver Product value propositions to the market.
  • Ensure the value propositions are designed to deliver tangible benefits to both Westpac Group.

  • Understanding of the banking landscape and technology here in Australia and in other the banking industries.
  • Analytical mindset and customer centricity to design and build digital solutions with a strong efficiency and service quality.
  • Proven experience in complex payment business, driving change and innovation.
  • Extensive experience in end-to-end product management from inception, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Relevant current working knowledge of the eCommerce competitor and technology landscape, at a bank or non-bank acquirer.
  • Technical acquiring experience including payment processing, gateway integration, settlement obtained via employment at an acquirer.
  • Proven ability in delivering projects and operational plans. Delivery experience is key as we look to build out our product roadmap.
  • Experience developing and executing payments strategy, preferably in the eCommerce field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, accounting, commerce, engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive skills in effective problem solving and decision making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Influencing and relationship building skills.
