Bringing these businesses together enables AP+ to create a more competitive and coordinated Australian payments organisation that is strategically placed to respond to the impacts of regulatory and technological change today, and into the future.The Purpose:As the Senior Product Manager in our Payments and Schemes team, you will be the Product Manager responsible for PayTo.This is what you’d be required to do:Core Product Management:
- Identify areas of friction with the product’s operation, and work with Payment Operations, Compliance and Risk to resolve them.
- Work with banks, payment service providers and merchants to publish and influence customer experience, dispute management, and marketing practices for the product.
- Work with other parts of the AP+ organisation to explore and execute on opportunities to integrate PayTo with other AP+ capabilities, for example, ConnectID.
- Monitor and be accountable for volumes, pricing and product performance, working with the Data team.
- Manage risk proactively and in conjunction with Compliance, Risk and Fraud teams.
- Say ‘no’ as much as possible, in service of the agreed product goals.
- Develop plans and actions to drive take-up and usage of PayTo by NPP participating organisations and payment initiators.
- Work closely with the AP+ Commercial team to support the activities of the Commercial team including providing training and associated material as it relates to PayTo.
- Engage with key external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, industry bodies, financial institutions, and service providers) as required and in conjunction with other key AP+ representatives on specific topics or issues relating to PayTo.
- Work with NPP participating organisations and key stakeholders on use cases that PayTo will support in migrating DE volumes to the NPP.
- Manage inbound inquiries and interest from third-party organisations regarding PayTo.
- Robust experience in product management/product strategy/ stakeholder management roles within the payments industry.
- Specific payments knowledge and experience including technical understanding, and ideally encompassing corporate and B2B payments.
- Superb stakeholder management & communication skills.
- A proactive, growth mindset.
- A deep appreciation for execution and iterative progress.
