Job description
Senior Product Owner – Strategic Automation
Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Owner/Project Manager to join its Strategic Automations team in Sydney.
You will work closely, in this role as the Product Owner, with highly collaborative technology and business teams to deliver a global data management transformation program for the Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) business.
This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on the business and support Commodities and Global Markets in the move towards an enhanced automation platform using enterprise-grade applications at scale across user experience, workflow, integrations, and data management.
Reporting to the Head of the Strategic Automation team, you will be responsible for managing automation projects. This includes partnering with internal stakeholders in the businesses and identify requirements and plan the strategic roll out of new tools with Tech. To be successful you will also need to meet regulatory objectives for data provision, management, retention, and to implement innovative technology solutions to ensure delivery of compliant, efficient, and useful solutions.
To deliver this you will work closely with stakeholders across the globe including the Technology teams. You will form a deep understanding in several areas including businesses, data, regulatory, and counterparty credit risk. You will manage ongoing Product Owner responsibilities across the spectrum of Product Owner duties including program strategy, requirements gathering, prioritisation, demos, sign off, stakeholder reporting, steering committee reporting, and overall delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will meet most of these requirements:
Strong Project Management and/or Product Owner experience, with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
Experience in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholder groups, including senior stakeholders.
Experience in delivery of global transformation projects, ideally working in an iterative environment.
A deep understanding of data management in a financial services setting, including data production, retention, and governance.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and demonstrated experience of delivering complex change in global environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have a strong sense of accountability and integrity as you lead the delivery and support your team.
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and applying these in practical terms.
