About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Draftsperson who wants to join a vibrant business with a solid work culture that is committed to constructing top-notch homes. The role will be suitable for someone who is self-driven, diligent, and detail oriented. The primary goals of the Draftsperson is to produce accurate drawings to the client's expectations and provide appropriate technical advice and support to key areas of the business.
Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
• You will be responsible for the preparation of sales documentation to improve operational efficiency.
• Validating and accepting new deposits and taking ownership of issue resolution post-acceptance of file.
• Ensuring sales documentation complies with Rawson's company guidelines.
• Responsible for liaising with Council/certifiers/developers/ external contractors where required.
• Responsible for giving the Permits Manager and Drafting Manager input regarding non-compliances.
• Achieving full Compliance, a high level of accuracy and understanding in the SEPP, Council DCPs and LEPs.
• To ensure that budgets and team KPIs are fulfilled, achieve consistent workflow output across all processes.
• Complete accurate drawings at all phases of the preconstruction process.
• Assist the sales, preconstruction, estimating, and construction teams with technical support and assistance.
• Maintaining knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code of Australia',

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- 10 years of Residential construction, preferably detached home building, and medium-density
- Experience in multiple areas of the Operations phase of Residential Construction.
- Qualifications or equivalent Education and expertise in one or more construction disciplines
- Highly knowledgeable of NCC and Australian Standards requirements
- The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
- Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to identify process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team
