Senior Product Coordinator - Tourism | Nsw State Government

Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to grow the visitor economy. They particularly focus on driving tourism along with acquiring and developing major sporting and cultural events for Sydney and Regional NSW. They are also the major investor in Business Events Sydney with the aim to secure more international conventions, incentive travel reward programs, corporate events and exhibitions for Sydney and Regional NSWAbout the Role
They are currently seeking a Senior Product Coordinator with wholesale tourism experience to join their team in Sydney CBD with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 4-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.Responsibilities

• Assist Product Managers in the development of NSW tourism and visitor experiences
• Contribute to the development of tours and experiences relating to Nature, Sustainability & Wellness
• Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• Partner with new and existing tourism businesses / operators to provide industry advice and guidance to maximise visitor experiences, international markets and global reach
• Deliver high level, professional and engaging customer service
• Respond to enquiries via telephone, email, virtually and in person, providing timely and accurate responses
• Facilitate the resolution of complex issues and problem solving
• Schedule and coordinate meetings
• Attend and participate in industry development initiatives including workshops, webinars and various training resources
• Track, monitor and report on project scope, status updates, milestones and deliverables
• Generate routine reports, to support decision making outcomes
• Manage and maintain Salesforce and Monday.com data integrity, accuracy and confidentiality

About You

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
• Professional, resilient and adaptable
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Suite, Salesforce and Monday.com
• Superior organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
• Ability to work within a fast paced, high volume environment
• Thorough with a keen eye for detail
• Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Wholesale Travel Agent, Online Travel Agent (OTA) or Inbound Tourism Operator (ITO)
• Demonstrated experience in Tourism, Tours and Visitor Experiences
• Interest / passion in Nature, Sustainability & Wellness
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
• Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
