Job Description

About the role
The Senior Production Engineer is primarily a technical role within EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS) and is responsible for solving problems related to the design and production (manufacturing) of EOS products. The Senior Engineer may lead a small team and is responsible for managing, developing and guiding staff to achieve their full potential.

In this role you will:

  • Develop solutions to manufacturing issues raised during production or product development in a timely manner.
  • Perform engineering analysis and design on mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Work with organisation constraints and consider the technical, economic, and schedule implications of issues and their solutions.
  • Develop engineering processes, procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in the development of production/product goals and milestones.
  • Support production and project planning.
  • Identify and support production improvement processes.
  • Identify and support the implementation of new technology to support continuous improvement in production.
Desired Skills and Experience

About You
You will be an ethical leader, influencer and problem solver who works and interacts with people in cross functional multidisciplinary teams to solve routine engineering problems and solutions.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Proficiency with mechanical design tools such including CAD (Creo).
  • Experience developing and reviewing engineering designs.
  • Experience developing FEA models is desirable.
  • Exposure across the engineering lifecycle through concept development, design, integration, test, sustainment, and delivery.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary teams in a structured product development or project engineering environment is desirable.
  • Experience in Defence sector is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering are desirable.
  • Registration on, or eligible to gain registration on the NER as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
