We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our production process. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely production while maintaining high quality standards. You will play a key role in optimizing production processes, managing resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and implement with the State Operations Manager, production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Estimate resource requirements (materials, labor, equipment) and manage satisfactory levels.
- Quote new and review existing customer works to ensure job returns are inline with company requirements.
- Identify and proactively address potential production bottlenecks and disruptions early to minimise and mitigate any impacts.
- Track production progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Daily and weekly reporting on production output to ensure the highest profitability possible.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure product quality meets established standards.
- Analyse quality data and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of production personnel.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment involving continuous improvement.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage production budgets.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Analyse production data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety compliance within the production area.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare production reports and presentations for senior management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of production strategies and goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a production management position
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing methodologies, HACCP regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant production software.
