The Role

As the powerhouse behind Orange Sky Australia (OS), you're the driving force for Growth, Performance, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement. Based in our Brisbane HQ on a thrilling 12-15 month Fixed Term Contract, you'll lead strategic initiatives that redefine service delivery across both Metropolitan and Regional Australia. Working directly with the COO, you'll turn big ideas into bold actions, fueling operational excellence and community engagement. With your team by your side, every day promises new heights of success as you break boundaries, spark change, and leave an unforgettable mark on communities nationwide.

In a nutshell this role will:

• Spearheading our growth strategy, maximizing assets, and empowering volunteer leaders.

• Leading and inspiring our Impact team, shaping a culture that echoes our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Championing nationwide growth and service enhancement.

• Cultivating dynamic partnerships and leaving a mark at events.
• Revolutionizing operational systems for seamless program delivery.
• Playing a pivotal role in budgeting and operational excellence.

• Being the frontline support across Australia & New Zealand, ensuring our services shine bright on weekends and holidays.

The applicant ideally has experience in a similar role within a fast-paced organisation, ideally within the not-for-profit sector and working with a large volunteer base.  Additionally, the ideal applicant has:   

• Demonstrated expertise in formulating and executing growth and performance strategies from inception to implementation.
• Proven leadership track record underscored by a foundational commitment to continuous improvement.
• Skilled in adeptly navigating challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy to achieve constructive outcomes.
• Excellence in service delivery and volunteer programs 
• Demonstrated leadership experience with an improvement mindset core to your beliefs.   
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Services or a related field, coupled with extensive experience in similar roles within relevant organisations.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a highly diverse range of people and manage a diverse workforce   
• Well-developed written skills, strategic and problem-solving ability   
• Ability to travel and work flexibly as required  
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage complex and competing demands and meet deadlines   
• Ability to work both independently, and within a team  
• Proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for our cause.
