The Regional Digital Business team within the Customer and Digital Strategy group, supports regional communities to establish commercially sustainable digital businesses, enabling them to take advantage of social and economic opportunities arising through increased participation in the digital economy. There is a focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team. As the Senior Program Officer you will work closely with regional communities across Queensland, including First Nations communities, and will support the Director with day-to-day project management, reporting, grant administration and engagement activities.
You will have the backing of a values-led team and supportive leadership group, who are committed to delivery of the strategic objectives in the Queensland Government Digital Economy Strategy (DES), and making a real difference for Queensland.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and Maintain project governance tools, templates, and documentation, to meet departmental and government reporting obligations.
- Produce correspondence, collateral, presentations, project board papers, briefing notes, and status reports for stakeholders, peers and leaders.
- Support Program Manager to map out deliverables, milestones and resource requirements to meet program schedules.
- Support Program Manager to identify and assess risk, issues, mitigation, and escalation strategies.
- Assist with coordination and facilitation of project governance meetings.
- Establish and Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, and stakeholders across Government, industry and the private sector to promote collaboration and contribution to the implementation of digital economy initiatives.
- Assist with coordination of community engagement activities and events.
- Assist in administering grant fund disbursement, including development of report templates, financial reports and oversight of contractual agreements.
