Our client, a leading Renewable Energy investor, operator, and developer, is actively expanding its team and is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Manager based in Melbourne.As a Senior Project Development Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving utility-scale Renewable Energy generation projects through all development stages. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: leading and managing utility-scale Renewable Energy projects from conception to completion.
- Site Identification: identify and evaluate potential project sites, taking into account technical, environmental, and regulatory aspects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, authorities, and local communities to ensure the success of the projects.
- Permitting and Approvals: navigate and secure necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks.
- Financial Modelling: develop and analyse comprehensive financial models to assess project feasibility and optimise investment returns.
- Contract Negotiation: lead negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other partners to secure favourable project terms.
- Risk Management: conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, and finance, will be essential to ensure project success.
- Community Engagement: establish and maintaining positive relationships with local communities, promoting transparency, and social responsibility.
- Technology Integration: stay abreast of emerging technologies and assessing their applicability to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Development within the Renewable Energy sector.
- They should have a proven track record of successfully delivering utility-scale Renewable Energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks and permitting processes is essential.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills are required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
