AddressBrunel is working closely with a global OEM who are looking for an experienced project developer who has expeirence in greenfield, utility scale solar, BESS and hybrid projects throughout QLD, NSW and Victoria. Initially, this is a remote role with the company looking to establish an office in Sydney and build a team around the successful candidate.
Reporting directly to the MD you will also be utilised to perform due diligence on investment opportunities for the company to co-develop so experience in brownfiled developments is important.
As the senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for all greenfield development activities and stakeholder management for utility-scale solar, BESS and hybrid projects. An emphasis on stakeholder management and business development will be important inlcuding managing consultancies and advisories for land acquisition, grid connection and planning approvals as well as reporting to investors and board on project opportunities.
This role will suit someone who has built teams and understands how to build a pipeline of projects autonomously leading the already estalished business in their east-coast activities with a willingness to travel when required.
What you need to bring:- Previous experience developing greenfield, utility scale solar and BESS projects in Australia.
- Thorough understanding of the NEM, AEMO and NSP standards and compliance for utility scale projects.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Give advice on brownfield and co development opportunities.
- Be able to work remotely and manage internal stakeholders accross different time zones.
- Previous experience building business cases and reporting to executive and baord levels.
- Strong netowrk within the Australian energy industry.
- Commercial accumen and team building capabilities.
