Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team. Our client is a leading construction company specializing in bulk earthworks and civil works projects across Queensland. The Senior Project Engineer will play a key role in overseeing bulk earthworks and civil works projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on earthworks, and will possess excellent leadership and project management skills. What will you be doing?

Lead the planning, design, and execution of bulk earthworks and civil works projects. Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity. Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure work meets regulatory standards and contractual requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, and mentor junior engineers as needed. Prepare progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, and communicate project status updates effectively. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork on all projects, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
