Join us at Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) as Senior Project Engineer based in our Cairns office, where you'll be central to our Engineering Services Department initiatives. Reporting to the Manager Capital Works, you won't just manage projects; you'll champion them, providing technical prowess, leadership, and steering us towards TSIRC's values and funding guidelines. Your toolbox will span diverse projects—from water and wastewater capital works to civil and marine endeavours.

- Your role will encompass collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, mentoring budding talents, refining cost models for budget precision, and spearheading in-house design capabilities for crucial projects. - To thrive in this role, you'll need a minimum of five years' project management experience, coupled with Bachelor-level qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering. Ideally, your toolbox includes postgraduate qualifications in project management or certifications from esteemed bodies like AIPM or PMBOK PMP.
- You'll benefit from professional development opportunities; a fantastic salary package between $110-000 - $115,000 (dependant on skills and experience) including enhanced superannuation at 12%; a generous 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% annual loading; 5 TSIRC gazetted holidays; and an environment brimming with opportunity await your expertise.
