The Role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Program Management Office, the Senior Project Lead is responsible for the oversight & delivery of multi-discipline strategic projects covering the different stages of the project lifecycle from ideation, discovery/planning and delivery to achieve operational and strategic goals. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives and contributing to issue resolution and escalation, research, analysis activities and planning and monitoring activities.
Your duties include, but not limited to:
- Support the Head of Enterprise Program Management Office to implement UNSW College's 2025 Strategic Plan and transformation program.
- Deliver multi-discipline strategic projects concurrently, covering all stages of the project lifecycle from ideation, discovery/planning and delivery to achieve operational and strategic goals
- Follow approved project management methodologies ensuring steps throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to post-implementation review are carried out.
- Work with the business to provide solutions to meet new and evolving business & organisational needs.
- Analyse, evaluate and overcome project risks and communicate with stakeholders in a timely way on matters which impact project delivery.
- Where necessary, act as a point of mediation across multiple projects where there are resourcing and/or budgeting conflicts/ambiguities.
Essential experience required for the role includes, but not limited to:
- A degree in the relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience in project management;
- Proven experience managing multiple complex projects in an organisation undergoing transformational change;
- In-depth knowledge of PMO governance methodologies and general project management best practices;
- Well-developed business acumen and excellent communication skills across written, interpersonal, presenting, workshop facilitation and training/coaching
