Overview: We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to take on a key role within our organization. The primary objective of this position is to successfully deliver projects and Capex programs while cultivating strong relationships with external clients and contractors. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in contract management, emphasizing the identification and development of key client relationships. Your business acumen, financial knowledge, and proficiency in project management will contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Execute projects and Capex programs, showcasing a robust track record in project delivery.
- Foster and manage relationships with external clients and contractors, employing strong diplomacy and contract management skills.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, including business planning and a high-level understanding of financial principles.
- Manage Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) for construction sites, covering refurbishments, fit-outs, and new constructions.
- Ensure compliance with QA, OH&S, and environmental systems within the work environment.
- Exhibit adaptability and innovation in responding quickly to change and addressing problems and opportunities.
- Proficiently use applications such as Word, Excel, and MS Project.
Qualifications and Experience: Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in project delivery or Capex programs.
- Proven expertise in relationship management with external clients and contractors, emphasizing contract management and key client relationship building.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills.
- Experience in managing OHS for construction sites, including refurbishments, fit-outs, and new constructions.
- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S, and environmental systems.
- Ability to respond quickly to change with a flexible and innovative approach.
- Proficient in applications including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Certificate IV in OHS or extensive project management experience.
- Holds a current General Induction for the Construction Industry card.
- Graduate Diploma of Project Management; or Trade Certificate in relevant discipline; or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
Desirable:
- Proven ability in working within an integrated services and property model.
- Membership in AIPM/AIA/IEAust/AIQS.
- Post trade/postgraduate qualifications in Building systems, Project Management, Engineering, or Business Management.
- Accredited NABERS assessor.
- Accredited Green Star professional.
