Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of ship and submarine building infrastructure in support of the Commonwealth’s continuous naval shipbuilding program. Since being formed in 2017, ANI has developed an enviable reputation for delivering significant major projects and facilities.
ANI is responsible for the expansion and modernisation of the Osborne Naval Shipyard into a world-class shipbuilding precinct, including design and construction of the nuclear powered submarine construction yard, and the continued operation and maintenance of Common Use Infrastructure. To support the growth of the team in delivering on this significant program of work, the organisation is now recruiting for this key role.
Reporting to the Director Major Projects, this key senior role will have responsibility for:
- planning, designing and delivering a range of projects with a keen eye for safety, time, cost and quality;
- administering design consultancy and construction contracts in line with industry standards, relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures;
- leading, managing and developing a multidisciplinary team of direct and indirect reports;
- developing strong and collaborative working relationships across client, internal and external networks;
- leading and managing project cost reviews, program reviews and project reporting.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified professionals with significant experience in major projects including design, construction and maintenance techniques and practices. Strong project management knowledge, significant experience in contract and contractor management as well as extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams across large or multiple projects or programs of work will be required. Also important will be excellent stakeholder relationship management, negotiation, influencing and dispute resolution skills.
