The opportunity
Join GWW as we work towards our commitment in delivering over $300 million worth of projects over the next 10 years! As the Senior Project Manager, you will work on GWW’s largest major infrastructure contract – the Gisborne Recycled Plant Upgrade Project. This role reports to the Major Project Lead - Gisborne.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the project registers, budget and forecasts, and monthly data reporting processes.
- Collaborate and manage Delivery Partner relationships and construction contracts in accordance with GWW requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentoring on all aspects of project management to the broader project team.
- Work closely with operations, delivery partners, and other key stakeholders to plan commissioning activities and the transition to the Operations and Maintenance phase
- Engage, build, maintain, and improve relationships with internal and external key partners from other utilities companies, Local Councils, Department of Transport, EPA, Registered Aboriginal Parties, DELWP and other government organisations.
- Ensure the EPA Development Licence conditions are met by working closely with the EPA, GWW team members, and Delivery Partners.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or Project Management would be highly regarded.
- Advanced project management and technical skills in running multiple complex capital works projects.
- Outstanding experience in working with key internal partners to external contractors, to regulatory bodies and alike.
- Knowledge around economic, community, political, cultural heritage and environmental issues that face the organisation in the delivery of services and projects.
- Confidence in contract management within the utilities/ infrastructure sector
