Lead the way in delivering ground-breaking HV substation projects valued up to $20M throughout Metro Victoria [JR1] with our Power Projects Team as a skilled Senior Project Manager or Project Manager looking to step up. Utilise your expertise to guide dedicated delivery teams, ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction of HV infrastructure projects that meet client requirements, KPIs, and financial targets within Downer's delivery model framework.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders and technical and support staff to efficiently deliver projects.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
- Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
- Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
- Manage projects in accordance with the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
- Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
ABOUT YOU
- A Trade or Engineering qualification (Electrical or similar) and/or a Diploma in Project Management is required. In addition, experience in delivering electrical utility projects, preferably substations, is a must.
- High proficiency with computers and relevant software.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.
