Our Queensland State Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to contribute to enhancing safe and efficient access to the land transport network. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of projects within a dynamic PRINCE2 and Agile environment, ensuring adherence to the department’s governance and business requirements while maximising benefits realisation. You’ll manage risks, budgets, schedules, and resources while providing direction to the project team and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders. Success in this role is measured by delivering projects within agreed Scope, Schedule, Quality, and Budget baselines, with recent experience in complex agile environments being essential.
Key responsibilities- Plan and coordinate project activities within budget and timeframes.
- Produce required project documentation within Agile, PRINCE2, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities.
- Develop and implement communication, change management, and benefit realisation plans.
- Liaise closely with all project stakeholders.
- Provide effective management of risks, issues, conflicts, and priorities.
- Recent experience in delivering projects in a complex agile environment.
- Minimum of 5 years in similar roles in large complex organisations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects within scope, schedule, quality, and budget constraints.
- Navigate complex agile environments, fostering collaboration and adaptability.
- Effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure clear communication.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and conflicts to minimize disruptions.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules efficiently.
- Collaborate with executives, board members, users, suppliers, and management to drive project success.
- Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable.
- Initial 12-month contract with multiple extensions available
- Work for a large QLD State Government department.
- Hybrid working arrangements from their Brisbane CBD location.
