About the job
SA Water is seeking a Senior Project Manager with an Engineering background to ensure the effective transfer of capital work from the planning stage through to the delivery environment, aligning with our corporate objectives. The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary program objectives, driving the successful delivery of both capital and customer outcomes. This role requires providing advice on the capital delivery lifecycle, ensuring that our multi-billion-dollar program is executed efficiently and in line with our customer expectations.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead communication with stakeholders and teams, fostering a collaborative environment that contributes to the success of various business areas. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning internal and external partners towards common goals, ensuring that projects in the early project lifecycle are delivered on time. This position demands a proactive approach, strategic planning, and exceptional stakeholder management skills to achieve SA Water’s ambitious program targets and drive organisational success.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy.
You will:
- Effectively disseminate and communicate business performance, current priorities and initiatives to influence the actions and behaviours of project teams.
- Translate strategic objectives to ensure the successful delivery of customer outcomes.
- Lead continuous improvement strategies to improve outcomes for customers
- Key member in leading and assisting the Delivery Planning team in Capital Delivery
- Lead delivery planning activities of the group
- Lead safety performance within Capital Delivery
Your success in this role will come from:
- Formal qualifications in Engineering or other relevant Qualifications / experience
- Experience in working as part of a team, leading and developing teams
- Experience in complex project/program management across the asset lifecycle- ideally within an infrastructure construction environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
