Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of capital infrastructure programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of project delivery, from initiation to deployment, for multiple projects and programs of work valued between $1M - $20M+ over 1-3 years;
- Develop project scopes and estimates, prepare budgets, and allocate resources to achieve positive outcomes;
- Manage delivery with internal teams, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with corporate frameworks and methodologies;
- Set practical goals for program delivery, develop cost-effective strategies, and ensure safe and efficient outcomes;
- Ensure delivery outcomes include relevant asset information for maintenance and optimisation, adhering to asset management conditions and assessments;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and participate in quality control and dispute resolution as needed; and
- Oversee design development, code compliance, and assist in contractual dispute resolution, negotiation, arbitration, or litigation as required.
About you
Your skills and experience will include;
- Proven experience in complex project management, successfully delivering projects on time, on schedule, and within budget;
- Demonstrated ability to lead internal and external teams to meet project objectives and milestones;
- Proficiency with project management systems and software, adhering to PMBOK principles and Australian Standards for General Contracts (AS4902, AS2124);
- Expertise in Construction Management, Superintendency, Contract Representative roles, and Construction Contract Law (desirable);
- Knowledge of government regulatory compliance, development approval processes, and Work Health and Safety Act requirements;
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; and
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders, including senior leadership.
