Job description

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to better support our member’s needs.

Ideally you will have financial services experience and have a proven background of successfully managing and delivering various large-scale projects effectively and on time. You will be accustomed to partnering closely with a range of stakeholders, including Senior executive and regulators.

You have a proactive attitude; you are approachable and personable with excellent communication/presenting and stakeholder management abilities.

If you are passionate about project management and delivering organisational change, reach out to us to hear more on details on this permanent full-time opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders at all levels across the RACQ Group.
  • Lead complex projects by undertaking appropriate planning and delivery with a business led approach (typically with direct business impact, complex dependencies, and firm deadlines) using appropriate methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) ensuring that the expectations of project stakeholders are fully met.
  • Drive evidence based, pragmatic decision making - through the selection of appropriate reports and metrics that provide solid data enabling risk-based decisions.
  • Partner with our Change Managers to ensure that the RACQ Change Management framework compliments and supports member and business readiness and implementation, through the desired behaviours.
  • Proactively perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans to consistently monitor and manage risks to the success of the project.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching and mentoring to the project team, driving consistency across the project and department.

About you:

  • Robust experience leading successful projects with strict deadlines in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to apply knowledge to different contexts, business operations and to take a tailored approach to secure a united outcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to collate, analyse and interpret technical data from a range of sources.
  • Strong experience in managing detailed budgets, proactive risk management, benefits assessments, schedules, and all other areas of project governance.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing and presenting effective communications (i.e., written and verbal) both routine updates and on more complex issues, including recommendations to address issues.
  • Strong ability to represent and champion on behalf of your sponsor and stakeholders to drive the best possible outcome with resources, influencing partners to help deliver to these priorities.
  • Dedicated team player with a desire to be part of a community of passionate project delivery resources, sharing lessons and knowledge to uplift the wider team.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing cross functional project teams.
