The Gold Coast Engineering team is responsible for the technology that is the powerhouse for Consumer and Business Banking Digital Technology.

NOTE: Open to candidates in either Sydney or Gold Coast.

How will I help?

• Lead several digital teams delivering features on our mobile and web platforms
• Project management, delivery solution within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality
• Work with architects and business for cost estimates
• Facilitation of program increment planning, estimates and scheduling
• Liaison with other dependent Westpac technology teams during build and implementation
• Risk and Issue Management, including identify, monitor, report and escalate risk and issues
• Stakeholder Management - engage, inform, and negotiate with service delivery teams and key project stakeholders.
• Best practice and compliance: Adhere to enterprise methodologies (PEFm, AEF, SELC).
• People management and coaching others in the team

What do I need?

• Proven track record in digital software development working directly with internal and vendor build teams
• Experience leading multiple delivery teams contributing to a common release
• Deep understanding of software development practices and tools
• Involvement in migration of workloads to Cloud technologies
• Successfully leading and delivering projects with many of the following characteristics:
  • Costs up to $10M
  • Typically ranging up to 30 resources
  • Project Impact: Medium
  • Project Risk: Medium
  • Minimal sub projects / streams
  • Single end deliverable (more complex)
  • Up to 5 business areas affected
  • Medium reliance on external partners
  • Limited interdependency (up to 5 projects)
• 5 + years' experience within projects and/or delivery of technology solutions (minimum 5 years at Project Manager level)
• 5+ years working in Financial Services, specifically Digital Technology
• Demonstrated ability to understand the differing business practices
