How will I help?

To lead and manage project activities that deliver business and/or technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.

Working withing the Data Portfolio Deliver team, as a Senior Project Manager, you will be focused on the initiative which will deliver a new enterprise solution for managing the lifecycle of our unstructured records. This greenfield project incorporates all aspects of delivering the new solution into the business as well as the use of some exciting technology (Machine Learning).

You will lead delivery of a stream of work within our unstructured records management program which will delivery the solution for our Microsoft repositories. You will work with a diverse set of distributed teams to design and implement the solution.

Following the conclusion of your responsibilities on the initial project, you will have the opportunity to work on other projects within our diverse Data Portfolio.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management experience and be self-driven. In addition to this, your skills may include:

• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver value for Westpac across a broad range technologies and business areas within the Data domain
• Have a firm understanding of data solutions and how they are used across the organisation
• Able to apply critical thinking and analyse situations or issues for different problems, considering all options prior to recommending and implementing a solution
• Proven track record in successfully leading and managing medium/large end-to-end solutions/projects (technology, processes etc) that combine both technology and business with many of the following characteristics:
  • Teams typically ranging up to 30 resources
  • Partner and vendor management
  • Management of diverse stakeholder expectations, across different business divisions (Up to 5 business areas affected)
  • Indicative cost up to $20M and duration up to 18 months
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the project management fundamentals, delivery lifecycle, and best practice

Significant Additional Value (desirable)

• Financial services experience delivering data solutions (e.g. new analytics capabilities, data platforms, data management)
• Experience with regulatory projects
• Experience with cloud solutions (especially MS Office 365)
• Records Management or Privacy domain knowledge
