Veritas House is a vibrant not-for-profit, community-based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people & their families. Veritas currently delivers services in a range of DCJ-funded programs.
About the role
We are seeking a passionate Accounting and Finance professional to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Business and Finance, the Senior Finance and Projects officer oversees a wide range of finance tasks with two direct reports.
Working from our Bathurst Office, some of your key duties and responsibilities of the role would include;
Finance Team Leadership and Staff Development;
Finance and Accounting
Budget Preparation, Monitoring and Reporting
Funding Monitoring and Compliance
Payroll

Essential Criteria:
- Current Drivers License
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance and Satisfactory Criminal Record check
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or appropriate work experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS office.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in using Xero and Microsoft Sharepoint.
- Professional certification in CPA, CA.
- Experience working in the not for profit sector.
