Veritas House is a vibrant not-for-profit, community-based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people & their families. Veritas currently delivers services in a range of DCJ-funded programs.

About the role 

We are seeking a passionate Accounting and Finance professional to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Business and Finance, the Senior Finance and Projects officer oversees  a wide range of finance tasks with two direct reports. 

Working from our Bathurst Office, some of your key duties and responsibilities of the role would include;

Finance Team Leadership and Staff Development; 

Finance and Accounting

Budget Preparation, Monitoring and Reporting

Funding Monitoring and Compliance

Payroll

Essential Criteria: 

1. Current Drivers License
2. NSW Working with Children Check clearance and Satisfactory Criminal Record check
3. Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or appropriate work experience.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS office.

Desirable Criteria: 

1. Experience in using Xero and Microsoft Sharepoint. 
2. Professional certification in CPA, CA. 
3. Experience working in the not for profit sector.
