Senior Project Officer

WFH opportunity | Contract role - working through until June 2025 | Employer of Choice Your new company Our client is the largest and most experienced provider of vocational education and training in the state, with a history of serving Queensland communities for decades. They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Officer to join their dynamic Sunshine Coast team for an ongoing temporary contract working through until June 2025. This exciting opportunity offers full-time hours and is a remote WFH opportunity.
Your new role Your duties will include the following:
Execute high-level project management skills, contributing to end-to-end delivery of commercial projects, demonstrating well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Contribute to the successful implementation and delivery of significant, complex and varied projects, working in a collaborative manner with educational, industry, community, and government stakeholders.
Provide advice and report on the progress of relevant aspects of project milestones to senior/supervising staff as required to ensure that project activities are consistent with organisational and contractual requirements and that priorities and timelines are met.
Undertake project risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities.
Utilise cloud-based systems to track and monitor the progress of projects.
Lead project meetings for the Product Agency in various governance committees including the development, preparation and coordination of meeting agendas, briefing papers, reports and minutes and including tracking, monitoring and closure of action items.
Maintain a high level of quality in the performance of all duties, ensuring adherence to the required quality systems documentation and continually seeking improvements in the way in which the programs are delivered to industry and participants.
What you'll need to succeed
Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to coordinate, liaise, negotiate, and consult with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated planning, project management, analytical and conceptual skills in order to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure project outcomes are achieved. An enthusiastic and positive attitude and ability to work well within a team-based environment.
Oversight and coordination of production processes using project management, tracking, and monitoring software.
Ensure alignment of project tools maintaining policies and procedures including protocols, naming conventions, filing structures and processes.
Provide technical expertise and advice on systems to inform projects, progression, customer experiences and improvements to efficiencies.
