About this role
The Senior Project Officer, Aboriginal Workforce manages strategic and operational projects to meet organisational objectives to improve outcomes for Aboriginal people through delivery of workforce initiatives. The role develops and supports the implementation of best practice policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies and provides project advice to support the achievement of NSW Health's objectives in relation to Aboriginal workforce issues.

What you'll be doing
Working as a collaborative member of the Aboriginal Workforce Team you will:
- Develop, coordinate, manage and implement a range of complex projects that build, grow and retain the Aboriginal workforce for NSW Health.
- Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making.
- Enhance cultural capability and cultural safety across services and teams for improved experiences through development and implementation of initiatives.
- Establish and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work in a small dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
- Solid project management skills and the ability to think and solve problems creatively with the input of others.
