Planned Resources are recruiting for a contracted Senior Project Officerwithin the Community Services sector in a local government setting. This role is contracted for a minimum of three months and is located in Melbourne's western suburbs.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will take leadership in orchestrating the successful execution of priority projects and strategic endeavors within the Community Support Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of various projects aligned with departmental and organisational priorities.
- Ensure the achievement of project objectives within designated resources, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including State and Federal Government departments and agencies, pertaining to life stage service delivery.
- Conduct research, analysis, and offer strategic advice on emerging issues impacting community members at different life stages.
- Analyse and interpret service level data to provide actionable insights for decision-making and recommendations.
- Support departmental service planning processes, including implementation and evaluation.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned that align with skills and capabilities deemed suitable for the role.
To be successful for this role, you will display the below:
- Tertiary qualifications in the area of policy, social science or human services discipline
- Demonstrated project management experience including project planning and developing project briefs, managing project teams and implementing and monitoring task schedules
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for a range of audiences
- Knowledge of Local Government life stage services and experience working in Local Government or Public Sector environment desirable
