The Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Officer to join the Assets and Project Management Office Department. The position is responsible for managing Council’s major projects through the full project management lifecycle in accordance with Council’s project management framework.
In the immediate term, the role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of Council’s largest capital works project – the Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct, being delivered in 2 stages. Currently, Stage 1 (valued at $29M) is nearing completion, and Stage 2 (valued at $17M) is in the detailed design phase. Supported by the Project Support Officer, the position will lead the delivery of this project from construction through to completion, demonstrating effective project management and ensuring that business targets and objectives are met.
Applicants need to demonstrate extensive experience in project planning and delivery, with a proven ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders with competing priorities in a complex project environment. Ideal candidates will come from the construction project delivery background with a focus on buildings and/or sporting facilities.
