The Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Officer (project manager) to join the Assets and Project Management Office Department. The position is responsible for managing Council’s delivery of the Macedon Ranges Shared Trails Project through the full project management lifecycle following Council’s project management framework.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of one of Council’s active major projects. The Shared Trails Project is valued at over $12M to deliver a 24km shared trail for walking, commuting, running and low-volume cycling from Woodend in the north to Riddells Creek in the south. Supported by a Project Support Officer, the position will lead the delivery of this project from design and construction through to completion, demonstrating effective project management skills and ensuring that business targets and objectives are met.
Applicants need to demonstrate extensive experience in project planning and delivery, with a proven ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex project environment.
