About Property Services
Within the Environment and Community Services Group, the Property Services Branch is responsible for a vast array of diverse assets from iconic Heritage Listed assets such as the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba City Hall, through to libraries, aquatic centres, depots, administration and other key community buildings, as well as contributing to the maintenance of key road infrastructure such as traffic lights and street lighting. Spanning almost 13,000km2, the team works diligently to guarantee essential community services are maintained in every corner of the region.
About the position
The Senior Projects Officer position will coordinate the identification and evaluate Property Services renewal, replacement, and other Branch projects to be incorporated into Council’s 10-year capital works program and manage their delivery in accordance with Councils project management framework, relevant legislation and Australian Standards for construction and renewal projects.
This position will work under limited direction, operating as a specialist within the Property Services team.

About you
We are in search of a proactive team player to work with our team to ensure capital planning and delivery meets the Rich Traditions and Bold Ambitions of our community. You will be working with internal stakeholders across a broad range of services, such as libraries, galleries, depots, community buildings and aquatic infrastructure in both design and construction. This will include the opportunity to work with iconic Heritage Listed buildings such as the Empire Theatre, as well as working with the community to plan for future projects. You will be highly proficient in project management, stakeholder communication and commitment to a positive workplace culture.
