The Opportunity
Are you a dynamic and experienced Project Manager? Take the lead in driving the successful delivery of large-scale capital programs and projects within the framework of our Project Management Framework (PMF). This pivotal role requires an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in project management, strategic advisory services, and contract management and tender administration in relation to the project management of capital projects applicable to all existing and future Council infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all tasks necessary for the successful program and project management of assigned large scale capital programs and projects in the planning, development, programming, design, construction, change process and handover of same.
- Develop and contribute to the Business Case for Council’s suite of large-scale capital programs and projects.
- Develop and comply with Council’s policies and procedures as they relate to the project management of large-scale capital projects.
- Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and in accordance with the approved Business Case.
- Provide budgetary control and provide regular reports to Council, Executive, Project Sponsor and Project Owner on all aspects of assigned programs and projects.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, building, project management or equivalent, or qualifications in another field or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience in all aspects of program and project management.
- Extensive experience in program and project management of large-scale local government infrastructure projects and evaluate a range of options and prepare Business Case for large complex projects.
- Extensive experience in change management in large organisations including the use of recognized change management methodologies.
- Current valid white card (construction induction training).
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
